X.M.P (extreme memory profile) compatibility, help?
Is every X.M.P motherboard compatible with every X.M.P RAM??
I know that they SHOULD be, but does anybody know 100%???
in specific; GA-H55M-UD2H (motherboard) and CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 (corsair RAM).
I have been advised that they are not compatible (by other people on yahoo answers) , and i keep gettin Blue Screen Errors. But I have contacted the supplier and they responded by saying that they should be compatible because they are XMP...
PLEASE only answer if you KNOW the answer to my questions...

Well, they are officially compatible. That being said, there's always the chance of a defective component.
One thing specific about this board I noticed that's unusual is that the DDR3_2 slot is nearest to the CPU. Make sure you're using the white DIMM slots to install memory in.
If you can get to the POST screen, downclock the memory speed to a non-XMP level of 1066 MHz and see if that works. Also try the memory sticks one at a time, in the DDR3_1 slot (the white slot nearer to the CPU) and see if you just happen to have a bad stick.
Corsair is normally an excellent memory brand, but even they can have DOA items.
